VALLISAARI SUMMER THEATRE – TRAPPED – A STORY OF HOW WE GOT HERE
Two people. One strange room, somewhere unknown. NO EXIT. No way out. The walls seem to close in—maybe physically, maybe only in the mind. A dead end. The catastrophe has already happened… or maybe it’s just beginning. They are TRAPPED.
But what happened before this moment? How on earth did they end up here? And more importantly—can they get out… and is it even worth trying?
TRAPPED takes the audience back in time and deep into the minds of the main characters. Flashbacks and glimpses from the past gradually reveal the chain of events that led to this moment. Each scene uncovers a new layer: fractured memories, dreamlike moments, and truths that may be too painful to face.
The performance unfolds in Vallisaari’s unique old warehouse building—a place where history echoes through the walls, ghosts of the past whisper, and mysterious nature surrounds everything.
An island once a fortress, a base, a military secret. Now a stage for a story of being imprisoned—both physically and mentally.
Performed by Stella Polaris, this full-length improvised play begins from a starting point chosen by the audience. Music and lighting transform the space into a shifting landscape where dreams and reality blur.
Is escape possible? That remains to be seen.
