The islands of Vallisaari and Kuninkaansaari are not accessible destinations. The terrain is hilly and difficult in some places. The trails are mainly covered with gravel and crushed aggregate, and in some places the trails are rock. There are no flat sections. Weather conditions affect the evenness, hardness and slipperiness of trails. Visitors in wheelchairs or using a rollator should take into account that an assistant will be required. Visitors can get around the island with children’s strollers.

Vallisaari has accessible toilets near Luotsipiha dock and at Torpedolahti harbour, which can be used with an assistant. On Vallisaari, there is an accessible dry toilet in the picnic meadow on the Aleksanterinkierros trail.

Vallisaari is served by a regularly scheduled waterbus transport. Scheduled ferry services to Vallisaari are provided by Suomen Saaristokuljetus Oy (Market square) and JT-Line Oy (Hakaniemi). The ferry can be accessed by passengers in manual wheelchairs. Passengers in electric wheelchairs can access ferries depending on the operator and dock. The presence of an assistant is recommended by operators. Further information:
